Use your clothing tomorrow to show your support for the national awareness movement of The American Heart Association of heart disease among women.
The Red Dress® is the national symbol for women and for heart disease awareness. This was made by The Heart Truth® , a campaign for spreading heart awareness. This Thursday, February 11, marks the start of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week launching the week with a Red Dress Collection (presented by Diet Coke). More than 20 celebrities will walk the runway in red dresses designed by America's top designers. Since the introduction of the Red Dress symbol in 2002, each February the symbol makes a prominent appearance on the runway as the fashion industry shows support for the cause.
For the second year, the Red Dress Collection will be auctioning the dresses worn by celebrities in the fashion show to the public. Proceeds will go to the Foundation of the National Institutes of Health to further research and awareness.
