CUT IT OUT

I have never been a fan of shirts with shoulder cut-outs. They just seemed... trashy to me. But lately, I've been seeing a few tops that are sparking my interest and making me think twice.

PICTURE PERFECT RECIPE

Marine Aurora takes food photography to whole other level. She deconstructs recipes to show step-by-step instructions and styles them so they act as a visual recipe for viewers. Hopefully some of this will serve as inspiration for Thanksgiving!

BACKPACKS FOR THE NON-BACKPACK WEARERS

Jansport backpacks were all the rage in middle school, and anybody who was anybody owned a Northface backpack in high school. I personally haven't worn a backpack since my freshman year in highschool and even thinking of buying one has always left a bad taste in my mouth. But about a year ago, Alexander Wang came out with his Sydney leather backpack and it has left me wanting one ever since. It seems that backpacks may be coming back! (Hopefully)

GIRLS WHO LOOK LIKE BOYS WHO LOOK LIKE GIRLS

Not going to lie, with a quick glace at this picture you expect it to be Justin Bieber, but less cuter and more rugged. Ellen Page, star of Juno has dumbed down her looks which compares her to Justin Bieber in favor of Justin. Let's hope girls aren't following this trend because it is not cute, Just Saying.

IN THE BAG

Bloomingdales is going to release limited edition shopping bags designed by multiple designers early next month. Tory Burch, Zac Posen, Elie Tahari, Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs all helped commemorate Bloomingdale's 59th Street flagship's multi-year overhaul by designing these one of a kind bags. They are a part of Bloomingdale's campaign, "Check It Out", which focuses on getting business by designer appearances and shopping events. They're a nice upgrade from the plain "big brown bag" we're use to seeing in the malls and definitely serve as collectible items.

FRENCH VOGUE'S 90TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY

French Vogue celebrated 90 years of influencing fashion and beauty on October 1 by throwing a masquerade themed ball at the Hotel Pozzo di Borgo in Paris. Creative director of French Vogue, Carine Roitfeld, hosted the event and guests like Kate Moss, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lara Stone, Alessandra Ambrosio, Diane Von Furtstenberg, Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen and Christian Louboutin attended.

Guests came out and wore extravagant masks and gowns to celebrate the magazine's success. Lace, black, and sheer dresses were a major theme of the night.

Here are a few of my favorite looks:
